  • Retired faculty members who belong to the center are eligible to apply for research grants from a research center's budget.

Chairs

A chair is an academic position funded by a special donation received for this purpose. The establishment of a chair is intended to perpetuate academic activity (teaching, research and publications) in a scientific field or area of expertise.

The procedures regarding occupancy of chairs are summarized in Administrative Directive 14-004.

Attention should be paid to the distinction between chairs without and with a reserved capital fund - only chairs with a reserved capital fund are handled by the Authority for Research and Development.
