Research Facilities

Information on research facilities are available on the below websites:

  • The Research Core Facilities at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Click here.
  • The National Science Foundation has opened a funding channel to support the accessibility of post-institutional research infrastructures that are located in universities in Israel to the entire community of researchers in academia. Click here.

Characterization of the research infrastructures on the basis of which users from among the winnwers of these grants can be referred to them, include all of the folowing criteria:

  • The service is provided within the framework of a central infrastructure unit, where the operation and maintenance of the equipment is the responsibility of the institution and not the responsibility of a researcher or several researchers.
  • The service is open to at least 10% of capacity to users from other institutions.
  • Information about the service and how to register to receive the service is accessible on a website open to all.
  • The service is priced according to the rules of the institution. Pricing is uniform (but external users will be charged overhead).
  • Access to the service is conditional on the academic compatibility of the requested service with the services provided at the infrastructure center, and compliance with the rules (ethical approvals, safety, etc.).
  • To clarify: Institutional equipment will also include HPC advanced computing equipment.
  • The additional funding (matching) in the amount of 25% may be covered by the researcher, including from the ISF grant for which the accessibility grant will be given.
  •  Israel Research Core Facilities (ICRF)  is a national initiative that brings together all the core facility centers in Israel, aiming to serve as a knowledge center that reflects up-to-date DATA regarding core facilities in Israel and as a platform that connects between the scientists that work in the centers.
